Barclaycard is to launch a new environmentally-friendly credit card that will be promoted by an equally green campaign.
The provider says that product promotion will purely be done online and that card statements will also only be made available online.
It adds that the announcement of the new card has coincided with the launch of the "We're in this Together" campaign in London.
Anthony Jenkins, chief executive of Barclaycard, commented: "Barclaycard Breathe makes it easy for people to do their bit in the fight against climate change by offering incentives to make being green easier and supporting projects around the world that help reduce carbon emissions."
Barclaycard additionally states that it is to donate about half of its pre-tax profits from Breathe to environmental projects as part of its green branding.
The We're in this Together campaign will be made up of eight different companies including Royal & SunAlliance, Tesco and Marks & Spencer.
