Jim Hytner, who was in charge of a £350 million marketing budget at Barclays bank, has announced that he will leave his role as group marketing director.
After almost three years of service, Mr Hytner is moving on to Top Up TV, where he will conduct the post of commercial director, according to Marketing Week.
Joining Barclays in 2004, Mr Hytner had previously been marketing director at ITV and Five.
It is reported that he wanted to leave the banking sector to return to a media-related role, although last month he refused a job at ITV as commercial director. His new position is expected to be at board level.
When Mr Hytner leaves Barclays in November, Deanna Oppenheimer, UK banking chief operating officer, will take over his marketing responsibilities, Marketing Week says.
