Branding is becoming more and more important for law firms in the UK, one expert has claimed.
A large proportion of legal marketing and advertising in the UK has long-been confined to companies offering 'no win, no fee' services.
However, according to freelance marketing consultant David Reid, law firms are beginning to recognise the benefits of professional services marketing for their practice.
In an article for The Firm magazine, he writes that professional services firms "appreciate that marketing is about meeting the needs and wants of clients".
"It is about understanding their desires and finding ways to provide services or products which there is demand for, and for which the client is happy to pay," he adds.
Meanwhile, UK-based law firm Cobbetts recently started advertising new job positions online, reports onrec.com.
The firm hopes to target a wider audience of potential candidates by recruiting online.
