A cartoon family went for a walkabout to raise awareness of Tax Advice Week.
The Taxables, a family of four, were taken on a tour around Westminster by the Chartered Institution of Taxation (CIOT).
Actors dressed up as David and Penny Taxable and their two children Heather and Jack had their photos taken outside of the Houses of Parliament and then went to visit the treasury.
CIOT president Rob Ellerby said: "The CIOT believes it is very important that people have a basic understanding of tax. Of course they cannot be expected to understand every bit of tax law, but once they have an idea how tax works, they are able to take more control of their finances."
And the campaign to raise tax awareness went beyond the cartoon family, as Jack Taxable, the youngest of the family was given a Facebook profile.
The family was created by Steve Morgan to illustrate the tax issues British families face.
