Egg Card has created a new advertising campaign which uses a 'playful' physical medium to promote its credit card that offers zero per cent interest rate on balance transfers.
The campaign will feature both on the world wide web on consumer websites and shopping portals as well as through direct mail, Brand Republic reports.
Online, Egg will represent the shape of the figure zero through animated balloons, skybursts and dandelions in banners, which will encourage web surfers to "roll over to pick me" or "roll over to pop me". Once the user has rolled their mouse over the images in the advert, a shower of zero per cents will rain down.
In another interactive online advert, promoted by the strapline "Be happy with nothing", users can draw patterns onscreen using their mouse.
The direct mail advertising campaign will feature a plain envelope with only: "Which card gives you zero per cent on balance transfers for 12 months?" on it. By removing the leaflet from inside, an Egg card appears in envelope's address window.
Rajat Varma, Egg's online marketing manager, said: "This latest campaign allows us to get our product message across in a unique and playful manner."
