An email newsletter must be "informative" and "relevant" to ensure the best results possible for a business marketing strategy, one expert has claimed.
Recent research by Immediate Future indicated that six in ten consumers consult reviews of products or services before deciding on a purchase.
A further 64 per cent also indicated that they intend to reduce their spending in the current climate, which could be relevant to firms conducting marketing campaigns through an email platform.
According to Denise Cox of Newsweaver, email marketing is an excellent way for businesses to stay in touch during the "decision-making process".
However, in an article for netimperative she also noted that email marketing can help to develop a dialogue with those visiting their website.
She writes: "They [customers] should be encouraged to opt-in to regular communications from you to continue nurturing the relationship long after they've left the website."
