Financial services providers and marketers could understand each other better after a new group was launched by the Financial Services Forum.
The new group, which will be limited to 100 invited members, will be comprised of directors and partners in agencies in the advertising, direct marketing, media planning and buying, branding, sales promotion, PR and sponsorship fields.
Members of the new Practitioner Group, who will be approved by the Advisory Board, will learn about financial services marketing effectiveness.
As part of the group they will have an opportunity to network both with peers in the industry but also with financial services experts who are members of the Financial Services Forum
The forum includes special interest groups on mortgage marketing, investment and commercial banking, general insurance and regulatory strategy.
Chief executive of the financial Services Forum said the group was set up to improve marketing effectiveness in financial services.
He added: "We have never been an apologist for poor practice within the industry and we anticipate that, by drawing on the experience and expertise of the Practitioner Group - and sharing best practice with them - the forum will continue to influence the standards of financial services marketing for the better."
