A legal firm in Bury got into the Christmas spirit recently by donating a large number of gifts to children in the care of the local council.
Woodcocks provided gifts as well as legal services this festive season, boosting its image as a 'family firm', reports This is Lancashire.
Father Christmas was also on hand to dish out some of the presents to children at a party held for them and their foster carers.
Woodcocks family law partner Margaret Mahon and solicitors Deborah Howarth and Mark Taylor presented the gifts to the council.
"We are grateful for the support from Woodcocks for local children and young people who are looked after at Christmas," said Kath Price, a senior practitioner in the council's family placement team.
"The presents for older children and teenagers were particularly well received as they sometimes get forgotten about and they really appreciated the lovely gifts."
According to Woodcocks, it is thought to be the oldest law firm in England that still involves its founding family in the business.
