Nationwide has teamed up with Skybus to launch a new branded Airbus A319 airplane.
The plane is to display a large version of the company's logo on the body of the plane, bearing the slogan "Nationwide is On Your Side".
Nationwide-branded images will also be placed inside the plane on its tray table, overhead bins and bathroom doors.
Jim Lynski, Nationwide's chief marketing officer, commented: "This is another example of how innovation will help us cut through the clutter.
"We're excited to be the first to demonstrate how this new medium can deliver our brand to consumers on a grand scale."
Skybus added that it believes it is the only US-based domestic carrier to make fuselage space available for advertisers.
Nationwide recently ended its sponsorship with the Conference league, which will now be known as Blue Square Premier following a deal with the online betting agency.
