Newcastle Building Society has announced that it is to boost its online financial services marketing in an effort to increase sales.
The lender's online move comes as a host of insurance marketing campaigns from big industry players have also received an online overhaul.
Creativejuice, the company managing the new online strategy, has underlined the importance of keeping the campaign "highly personalised".
Managing director of the firm, James Moore, told Precision Marketing: "The email campaign promotes equity release and is highly personalised to the extent that we reference the increase in value of the recipient's house."
The first stage of the email campaign will target current customers in an attempt to encourage the cross-selling of products.
A recent poll for the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) found that online marketing campaigns work well with television advertising, with 64 per cent of respondents claiming to watch TV while using the internet.
