Skandia has attempted to make advisers' jobs easier during a bear market by launching a website to help them explain investment options to clients.
It is hoped that the website will be popular with advisers and aid them in showing clients that good investments can still be made despite failing markets.
The aim is to ensure that investors do not think they can get by without financial services, such as investment advice, during the decline.
Instead, the imitative features information about how exiting from the market following large losses can make the falls permanent, whereas staying in offers a potential recovery.
"The current market climate can make investors nervous, further highlighting the crucial role financial advisers play as clients seek reassurance and hope to minimise loss," said Skandia's head of investment marketing, Graham Bentley.
"It's important for advisers to remain engaged with their clients and to discuss the possible investment opportunities that are available in a bear market."
Following the publication of minutes from a Bank of England meeting, speculation has been growing that interest rates will be cut further in a bid to help the faltering economy.
