Birmingham PR and marketing agency, M Consulting, is once again flexing its muscles in the art world promoting the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery’s latest exhibitor, Midlands sculptor Juginder Lamba.
Following a successful campaign promoting and auctioning the work of Birmingham micro-sculptor Willard Wigan last year, M Consulting has been working alongside Juginder to promote Body and Soul, the largest single exhibition of his work to date.
The sculptures are inspired by earth and emotion, and reflect Juginder’s varying cultural influences from Africa, India and Britain. The 50 sculptures on display are made from Bronze Age oak, Maltese limestone, marble, bronze and rich woods.
A long time fan of Lamba’s work is renowned chef Raymond Blanc OBE, who holds permanent displays of some of his favourite sculptures in his Oxfordshire restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons. Raymond Blanc was pleased to open the exhibition in Birmingham this summer, and said: “These exquisite sculptures show the beauty of bronze, stone and wood, and have always had pride of place at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons.”
Body and Soul will be on display at the Waterhall, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, until 26 October 2008.
