M Consulting appoints oral communications consultant

Published: 23 July 2008

Birmingham-based full service marketing and communications agency, M Consulting, has appointed an oral communications consultant to expand the company’s already extensive marketing offering.

Nick Davies LLB (Hons) Barrister is the founder of The Scottish Legal Awards and is an accomplished trainer. He was also voted "Trainer of the Year 2007/2008" by the Legal Education and Training Group.

He will be providing pitch coaching services for M Consulting’s clients as well as giving oral communications skills training.

It was while practising as a barrister that Nick identified a need in the legal and professional services sectors to provide training for pitches, presentations, networking and the like.

He went into training and now has a wealth of experience training lawyers, accountants and civil servants how to sell, persuade, close, speak, negotiate, network and develop their businesses and he practices his art through hosting award ceremonies as well as through performing stand up comedy.

He is a regular contributor of articles to the legal press and also writes pieces for this sector on negotiation, business development, communications and presentation skills.

Steve Manton, chief executive of M Consulting, says that Nick’s appointment has greatly enhanced the agency’s already substantial full service offering.

He says: "We are delighted to have Nick on board as an oral communications trainer as it adds another string to M Consulting’s bow.

We are now able to provide an even more comprehensive service to our clients than before and we believe we can equip them with all of the tools necessary to navigate through the uncertain economic times ahead.”

Nick says: "Im very pleased with my new role at M Consulting and relish the opportunity to begin offering M’s clients the chance to hone their skills in presenting, networking, public speaking and pitching."
